Latin American first-quarter steel trade deficit narrows
Latin America's steel trade deficit narrowed in March to 1.14 million tonnes, almost 5.8% less than February and down 28.8% year-on-year, according to steel producers' association Alacero. The first-quarter deficit was at 3.7mt, which is 19.1% lower compared to 4.57mt in the same period a year earlier.
