Lingyuan Steel rips up, re-writes blast furnace upgrade plan
China’s Lingyuan Iron & Steel has completely overturned the blast furnace upgrade plan announced several times earlier this year and adopted a new one, according to Department of Industry and Information Technology of Liaoning Province.
Initially, the company intended to replace its two 450 cubic metre-BFs and two 1,000cum BFs with two 1,550cum furnaces. Construction of both BFs has now been abandoned.
