LKAB sees lower shipments, economic concerns
Scandinavian miner LKAB says it is concerned about global economic uncertainties and their impact on the iron ore industry.
The miner reported 2022 deliveries of 25.8 million tonnes of iron ore, down 1.2mt compared with 2021. Pellet accounted for 83%. Turnover was almost stable y-o-y at SEK 46.5 billion ($4.49 billion), while operating profit reached SEK 20.7 billion, down SEK 6 billion.
