Grangex acquires Norwegian iron ore mine, eyes concentrate

Sweden’s Grangex has completed the acquisition of Sydvaranger Mining AS, which owns an iron ore mine in Kirkenes, Norway. The firm plans to start production of ultra-high-grade direct reduction magnetite concentrate at Kirkenes as well as at its existing Dannemora mine in Sweden, and to become a leading supplier to the steel industry.
