Metinvest eyes European markets for higher-quality pellet sales
Metinvest’s Northern GOK has begun producing iron ore concentrate with 68% Fe content at its ore beneficiation plant No.1 using ore from the Pershotravnevy mine, Kallanish notes.
This has increased the plant’s pellet quality, creating the opportunity to enter new markets, the enterprise claims. The plant has a design capacity of 30.5 million tonnes/year of ore and has hitherto been producing 65.8% Fe concentrate.
