Metro construction employment remains down in March
Construction employment remained down on-year in over half of US metros during March, Kallanish learns from an analysis of US Bureau of Labor Statistics data by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America.
According to the AGC, construction employment declined in 203 metros, or 57%, from March 2020 to March 2021. Meanwhile, only 104 metros, or 29%, added construction jobs over the past 12 months.
