Mexico’s Ahmsa decreases second-quarter sales, reports losses
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) saw its financial performance deteriorate during the second quarter, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker’s unaudited earnings report.
Ahmsa’s net sales reached $674.9 million in Q2, down -28% year-on-year. The fall was due mainly to lower steel shipments, which were partially offset by better prices in the coal segment, says the company.
