Mexico’s Ahmsa increases steel production in February
Mexican steelmaker Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) increased its steel output on-month in February, Kallanish learns from a trade union report. The steelmaker, which is facing one of its largest financial crises to date, produced nearly 185,000 tonnes of steel during the month, or 35,000t more than at the beginning of 2020.
