Mexico's Ahmsa sees third-quarter production slump
Altos Hornos de México (Ahmsa) saw its performance deteriorate year-on-year during the third quarter of 2020, Kallanish learns from the steelmaker’s earnings report.
Ahmsa’s net sales reached $263.1 million in Q3, down -56.7% year-on-year. The fall was due mainly to low production volumes, the overall weakness of the steel industry and the suspension of large coal supplies to state-owned electricity company CFE, says the company.…
