Mexican flats production falls on-month, rises on-year
Mexican flat rolled steel production decreased month-on-month in February, except for cold rolled coil, Kallanish notes.
According to data from local statistics institute Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía (Inegi), Mexico produced 318,692 tonnes of hot rolled coil in February, down 35,977t from January but higher by 5.4% year-on-year. Two-month production was 673,361t, up 9.4% compared with 615,416t in January-February 2023.
