Simec performance slips in 2022
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw fourth-quarter performance decrease sequentially, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report. Shipments and revenue were also weaker compared to the same period a year earlier.
The steelmaker’s sales totalled 535,000 tonnes in Q4, down 1.1% over Q3 and 2.7% less than a year earlier. In 2022, shipments amounted to 2,255,000 tonnes, a fall of 9.9% year-on-year.
