Mexico’s Simec posts weaker first-quarter results
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw first-quarter main indicators decrease year-on-year and sequentially, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report.
The steelmaker’s sales volume totalled 479,000 tonnes in Q1, down 11% from Q4 2023 and 21% less compared with 604,000t a year earlier. From this, steel profiles and sections represented almost 352,000t.
