Mexico's Simec sees weaker performance in third quarter
Mexican long steel producer Grupo Simec saw third-quarter performance decrease sequentially, Kallanish learns from the company’s latest report. Shipments and revenue were also weaker compared to the same period last year.
The steelmaker’s sales volume totalled 541,000 tonnes in Q3, down 3% over Q2 and 8% less than a year earlier. Nine-month shipments amounted to 1.72 million tonnes, down 12% year-on-year.
