MMK reduces energy costs with new reheating furnaces
Russian steelmaker MMK and Danieli have signed a contract for the construction of four slab reheating furnaces for MMK’s hot rolling mill 2000.
The project will be implemented in stages within five years and the overall investment will exceed €100 million ($113.7m), Kallanish notes. The capacity of each reheating furnace will be 465 tonnes/hour of slab.
