Netherlands, Bulgaria lift Turkish wire rod exports
Turkish wire rod exports surged 42% on-year in May to 231,026 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. Their average price was $519/tonne versus $610/t in May 2018.
Exports of round rod below 14mm diameter comprised 183,329t, up 54%. This came as shipments to the Netherlands more than doubled to 48,750t, and Bulgaria and Senegal took in 19,071t and 13,871t respectively versus zero each in May 2018. Sin…
