Iran iron ore reserves increase 50%

Exploration work over the last six years has identified 977 million tonnes of new iron ore reserves in Iran, according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (Imidro). Iran has now approved 2.73 billion tonnes of iron ore reserves, of which the latest 977mt comprise around a third, Kallanish notes.
