NLMK DanSteel adds higher-strength plate to range
NLMK DanSteel has added ten grades with a yield strength of up to 460MPa and a thickness of up to 100mm to its product range, Russian parent NLMK tells Kallanish. These are on average 30% stronger than their previous counterparts.
NLMK says the characteristics of the new corrosion-resistant grades were achieved through optimising the steel’s chemical composition, and developing optimal rolling modes with accelerated cooling.
