NLMK expands sheet range with upgrade

Steelmaker and miner NLMK has embarked on the upgrade of the 800,000 tonnes/year capacity slitting line at its principal Russian Lipetsk works, Kallanish notes. The RUB 2 billion ($26.9 million) upgrade, due to take eight months, will enable the steelmaker to expand product range to high-strength steel sheet with 3-25mm thickness.
