Lower output, prices dent NLMK's first-quarter earnings
Russian vertically-integrated steelmaker NLMK expects lower crude steel output in the second quarter. This will be as it embarks in earnest on its blast furnace No.2 capital overhaul and continues repairs in the converter shop at its flagship Russian Lipetsk steelworks. Its management consequently expects output to drop by -6% to -8% on-quarter in Q2.
