NLMK ramps up steel output following converter upgrade
NLMK has recommissioned an oxygen converter with a capacity of 160 tonnes/hour after repairs at its flagship Russian Lipetsk works. The work was carried out 25 hours ahead of schedule.
This made it possible to additionally produce 6,600 tonnes of steel and obtain an economic effect of more than RUB 100 million ($1.4m), the firm says.
