NMDC sees rise in May iron ore production
NMDC’s iron ore output grew 16% on-year to 3.71 million tonnes in May, against 3.2mt produced a year earlier. Deliveries also grew 37% to 3.62mt, Kallanish notes.
NMDC’s Chhattisgarh mine production rose 9% in May to 2.59mt, against 2.38mt produced last year. Sales surged 34% to 2.64mt. Karnataka-based mine production and sales grew 37% and 44%, respectively, to 1.12mt and 0.98mt.
