North American rig count stays steady
The North American rig count remained balanced in the week ended 22 April due to equal gains and losses in the US and Canada, Kallanish learns from energy services firm Baker Hughes.
The US gained two net rigs for a total of 695, up 257 from last year’s count.
Canada lost two rigs for a total of 101, still up 46 on-year.
The international count, meanwhile, increased by two to 815, up 100 from the equivalent count last year.
