Northern Europe rod prices flat amid low demand
Northern European wire rod prices have remained stable this week amid low demand, sources say. Most participants expect a new hike next month.
“The market in Europe is completely quiet amid a wait-and-see attitude due to high production costs,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish.
Domestic transaction prices for drawing-quality wire rod are €690/tonne ($732/t) ex-works and mesh-grade wire rod is €710/t, sources say.
