Northern European mesh-quality wire rod prices increase
Northern European wire rod prices have remained flat in most cases this week, but some buyers paid more for mesh quality due to strong demand, say market participants. Sources continue to expect future increases.
“We are paying in Europe more than at end-December and already bought 13,000 tonnes this week,” a buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish. “Some mills are not offering, but they will follow the increase of others.”
