Northern European rod prices flat, market expects restocking
Northern European wire rod prices remained stable again this week amid low demand in Europe, sources say. Participants are however expecting fresh restocking by steel mills in the new year.
“I think demand will be stable after the winter holidays,” one buyer from the Netherlands tells Kallanish. “There was some push this week from regular suppliers to increase prices before Christmas, but there were no new deals confirmed.”
