Nucor acquires 2 scrap processors
North Carolina-based steel producer Nucor has acquired two scrap processing companies, boosting the company's recycling capacity by 10%, Kallanish understands.
In a statement, Nucor announced the completed purchase of Grossman Iron and Steel, located in St. Louis, Missouri, through its affiliate Advantage Metals Recycling (AMR). With this acquisition, AMR's total number of recycling facilities rises to 12 facilities.
