Nucor anticipates its scrap-processing capacity will rise
Nucor expects to increase its scrap-processing capacity in the coming months following recent acquisitions, which the company hopes will offset rising pressure in the domestic scrap market, Kallanish learns from the company's latest earnings conference call.
"There's certainly going to be increased pressure on prime [scrap] without a doubt," says Nucor ceo Leon Topalian, as market demand is expected to rise in the coming months.
