Nucor bar mill to get vacuum degassing capability
Nucor plans to add vacuum degassing capabilities to its engineered bar operations at the company’s bar mill in Darlington, South Carolina, Kallanish reports. The company did not announce the cost of the upgrade, but says the vacuum degassing system is expected to begin operations in late 2020.
