Nucor finishes $1 billion metal panel acquisition
US steel producer Nucor has closed on a $1 billion acquisition of Cornerstone Building Brands’ insulated metal panels business, just in time for President Joe Biden’s $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.
The business will be rolled into a new insulated panel group, with the Nucor’s extant TrueCore business as its centre. The acquisition includes brands CENTRIA and Metl-Span, Kallanish notes.
