Nucor issues price maintenance notice on plate
Nucor Group is maintaining its 28 December plate prices, Kallanish learns from a 26 January announcement. Price maintenance currently applies to certain quenched, tempered, and normalised products.
Market sources have suggested in the past several weeks that plate demand is more or less stable, though the entry of a new market participant - Nucor Brandenburg - earlier this month could potentially shake things up later in the year.
