Nucor plans $290m upgrade at Indiana sheet mill
Nucor announced plans this week to invest $290 million to add a continuous galvanizing line and prepaint line at its Crawfordsville, Indiana, sheet mill.
The 300,000 short ton/year construction-grade galvanizing line and 250,000 st/y prepaint line are slated for startup in 2024, Kallanish understands.
The investment will add 80 additional positions to Nucor Steel Indiana, which currently has 770 employees.
