Odisha government eyes establishing 12 new steel mills
The Odisha state government aims to set up 12 steel mills with a total capacity of 60 million tonnes/year, says Odisha steel and mines minister Prafulla Kumar Mallik. He did not however specify a timeline for the projects, Kallanish notes.
Currently, Odisha has 51 active steel plants with a total production capacity of 33.12m t/year, the minister observes.
