Outokumpu raises European austentic stainless surcharges for September
Stainless steel producer Outokumpu has again raised alloy surcharges month-on-month for its 300 series austenitic range of flat stainless steels for Europe for September 2019, Kallanish notes. It has generally slightly lowered its surcharges for its ferritic grade 400 series. The surge in nickel prices over the last few weeks appears to have underpinned the increases for both austenitic and higher-grade material surcharges.
