Peabody renames its North Goonyella mine 'Centurion'
US-based coal miner Peabody Energy is renaming the North Goonyella mine, its hard-coking coal longwall operation in central Queensland, Australia, to "Centurion."
This decision follows the company's deal with Stanmore Resources in late October to acquire a significant portion of the Wards Well coal deposit, located adjacent to Peabody's Centurion mining operation.
