Peru’s September iron ore output hits seven-month low
Peruvian iron ore production fell on-month in September. Output, however, was higher compared to the same period in 2021, Kallanish notes.
The country's iron ore output fell below 1 million tonnes for the first time in the last seven months in September. According to the latest Peruvian mines and energy ministry (Minem) report, output was 983,042 tonnes during the month. This volume was 5.9% less over August but up 17.4% year-on-year.
