Peru’s SHP miners declare strike
Shougang Hierro Peru (SHP) miners will begin an indefinite strike on 27 March, Kallanish learns from a statement issued by Peru's sole iron ore producer.
Company management and representatives of miners’ union Sindicato de Obreros Mineros de SHP held a meeting to resolve the ongoing labour issues over the new collective agreement; however, talks have not been successful, SHP says.
