Turkey’s October plate imports rise, new supply emerges
Imports of hot-rolled plate products into Turkey increased considerably in October, and rose year-to-date, Kallanish notes from data published by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK).
October arrivals of coiled thin sheet/plate of 4.75-10mm thickness (HS code 720837) increased by 52.8% on-month and 55.3% on-year to 26,794 tonnes, as year-to-date volume rose 40.6% on-year to 272,173t.
