Poland reduces iron ore, hikes scrap imports
Polish non-agglomerated iron ore imports plummeted 70% on-year in May to 145,453 tonnes, according to Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS).
This comes as supply from Ukraine dropped to only 36,567t versus over 435,000t last year, while intake from Mauritania zeroed versus over 54,000t last year. However, 108,324t was imported from Liberia versus zero last year, Kallanish notes.
