Port Hedland iron ore shipments lower in February
Australia’s Port Hedland saw iron ore exports to China fall month-on-month in February, Kallanish notes. Global shipments from the port were also slightly lower year-on-year.
Cargoes to China from Port Hedland in February were virtually static at 33,304,253 tonnes versus 33,977,683t in January, just 700,000t lower. Average daily shipments to China were 1,148,423t in February versus 1,096,054t in January and 1,194,860t in February 2019.
