Port Hedland iron ore shipments remain firm
Australia’s Port Hedland saw iron ore exports to China remain at a high level month-on-month in April, Kallanish notes. Global shipments from the port also performed similarly on the back of this.
Cargoes to China from Port Hedland in April lowered to 38,722,915 tonnes versus 40,433,761t in Match, just under 2 million tonnes less. Average daily shipments to China were 1,290,764t in April versus 1,304,315t in March and 1,193,534t in April 2019.
