Port Hedland iron ore shipments surge in March
Australia’s Port Hedland saw iron ore exports to China surge month-on-month in March, Kallanish notes. Global shipments from the port also rose sharply on the back of this.
Cargoes to China from Port Hedland in March jumped to 40,433,761 tonnes versus 33,304,253t in February, over 6 million tonnes higher. Average daily shipments to China were 1,304,315t in March versus 1,148,423t in February and 989,640t in March 2019.
