Public projects purchasing more domestic steel: UK Steel
The culture in the UK is changing towards actively considering purchasing domestically produced steel, says trade association UK Steel.
This follows the publishing of the UK government’s Steel Public Procurement 2024 report on Thursday. “It is encouraging to see that quality of reporting improves year on year, and now stands at 90% completeness of data provided by Departments,” UK Steel says in a note sent to Kallanish.
