Qatar Steel first-half revenue, profit grow
Industries Qatar (IQ)'s steel segment revenue inched up 11.1% on-year to QAR 2.46 billion ($675 million) in the first half of 2022, says IQ in a report seen by Kallanish.
Revenue growth is attributed to higher selling prices, mainly driven by higher steel and iron ore prices prevailing internationally. Sales volumes remained relatively flat against a backdrop of softening domestic demand.
