Raw steel increases again in US
US raw steel production inched up in the week ended 17 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.859 million short tons during the week with a capacity utilisation rate of 84.1% - up 0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 83.6%, and up 37.7% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 60.3%.
