Raw steel production grows in US
US raw steel production moved up both on-week and on-year in the week ended 31 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.876 million short tons at 85% capability utilisation, up 0.4% from the prior week, when utilisation was 84.6%, and up 39% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 60.3%.
