Raw steel ticks up in US
US raw steel production rose both on-week and on-year in the week ended 19 June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.839 million short tons at 82.9% capability utilisation, up 0.3% from the previous week, when utilisation was 82.6%, and up 44.6% from the equivalent week in 2020, when utilisation was just 56.8%.
