Rio Tinto ships scrap from Australia’s largest demolition
Rio Tinto has recently shipped the first cargo of 15,000 tonnes of scrap steel from the Gove wharf to Asia, equivalent to about 2 Eiffel Towers, Kallanish notes.
The scrap is from the largest demolition project in Australia’s history at Rio’s Gove alumina refinery site in Northern Territory, Australia.
