Russia’s stainless steel imports decrease in October
Russian imports of stainless steel decreased in October to 31,270 tonnes, down by 5.7% compared to September, says national special steel association USSA.
Imports of stainless cold-rolled flat products were up 0.1%, Kallanish notes However, hot-rolled flats decreased by 24%, long products were less by 15.4%, seamless pipe was down by 20%, welded pipe decreased 34.8%, wire fell by 9.9% and primary billet was down 60.6%, USSA says without providing tonnages.
