Russia’s stainless steel output continues to increase
Russian production of stainless steel increased in January-April to 67,320 tonnes, up by 27.8% on-year, Kallanish notes from national statistical service Rosstat.
In April alone, output reached 26,000t, up 7.2% on-year but down 11.7% compared to the previous month.
Demand for domestic products remains stable due to conservative use in protected Russian industries relying on state orders, national special steel association USSA said earlier.
