Salzgitter launches green steel brand, signs with Uniper
Salzgitter says it is now selling its low-emission steel products under the SALCOS brand name, which it has so far used to refer to its energy transition programme – Salzgitter Low CO2 Steelmaking.
A key element and promise of the SALCOS brand is the close alignment with the Low Emission Steel Standard (LESS) green steel categorisation introduced this week by the German steel association, WV Stahl (see separate story).
